Andiamo al carnevale di Venezia! Oggi è il lunedi delle rose. Grâce à ce qui est née le 27 février, j' ai connu ce beau video, qui me rappelle Venise au mois de décembre, 1999.

ティツィアーノの聖母の祭壇画のあるサンタ・マリア・デイ・フラーリ聖堂を出ると、夕映えの時刻はすでに過ぎ、ヴァポレットから見下ろすさざ波に街の灯がゆれていた。運河の向こうに見えてきた、サンタ・マリア・デッタ・サルーテ寺院が夕もやに霞んでいる。岸に降り、広場に向かって歩きながら鐘楼を仰ぐと、不意にその頂が白っぽい薄絹に包まれた。あっと思うと、サン・マルコ寺院は砂の寺と化し、パラッツォ・ドゥカーレも淡い薔薇色の衝立に変わっている。これが霧のヴェネツィア。青白く湿った黄昏の空気に街灯がにじむ。静かな楽の音に誘われ、旧サン・マルコ図書館をのぞくと、カフェの片隅でピアニストとチェリストがひっそりと演奏していた。(1999年)

Quand je sortis Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, le crépuscule avait déjà terminé et des lumières de la ville ondulaient sur l’ eau vu du vaporetto. Les contours de Santa Maria della Salute étaient vague dans le brouillard. Descendue de vaporetto et en marchant vers Piazza je leva les yeux au Campanile di San Marco, dont la cime a été entouré par une gaze blanche. San Marco a été changé à un château de sable et Palazzo Ducare à un paravent rose. C’est ça, la Venezia nella nebbia. Et le son d’un piano et d'un violoncelle de la Libreria Marciana…（1999）

イギリスの窓辺 ＊ Windows in England (1997)

北欧滞在中、友人に誘われてイギリスとスコットランドへ足を伸ばしました。英国国教会で女性司祭が認められたのは1992年だったと、帰国後知りました。

During my stay in Denmark, I accepted my friend' s proposal and went to England～Scotland with her. After returning to Japan, I heard that it was in 1992 that the Church of England had authorized the female priest.

ロンドン近郊のチェルトナム村（Cheltenham, England）

「ラテン語の『くまのプーさん』もあるんだよ」笑まふ恩師の学舎(まなびや)ゆかし

(“Winnie-the-Pooh has a Latin edition.” 　My university professor smiled. 　In his alma mater, 　many students should have read that book　 in their childhood.）　

オックスフォード。恩師の母校ではありません（Oxford, NOT his alma mater）

北欧の窓辺 ＊ Scandinavian Windows（1997）

世界で一番美しい窓辺は北欧にあると思う。長い冬が過ぎ、夏が来ると、人々はカラフルな窓辺を花で彩る。

In Scandinavian countries, you can find the most beautiful windows in the world. Because of the long and white winter, they decorate their windows with colorful flowers in summer.

ダーラナ地方の窓辺のアンティーク時計＊(Dalarna, Sweden)

日本では家具などが古くなると、付喪神（つくもがみ）がつくといわれる。ムーミン・シリーズの一冊にも、お化けみたいな時計が描かれている。

In Japan, the antique objects are said to be possessed by the artifact spirits. In Moomin, you see an antique wall clock like a goblin.

短い夏、ノルウェイのフィヨルドは碧（あお）や翠（みどり）の宝石のように輝く。船が通ると波が立ち、そこで人々が波乗りを楽しんでいた。

The water of Norwegian fiords shines like various precious stones during the short summer. When a ship passed by, the waves were born, where people enjoyed surfing. Bonnes vacances!

アウルランドフィヨルド＊Aurlandsfjord

ゆき過ぐる船の残せし波に乗り北国(ほっこく)人の夏は疾(と)く過ぐ

(While surfing on the waves　 left by passing motorboats,　 passes fast 　the summer of Aurlandsfjord, 　in Norway, a northern country )

In a neighbour counrtry, Finland, I saw the boys playing with their toy ships by the waves left from the real ships.

ソグネフィヨルド＊Sognefjord

船上で出会った中国人は、ソグネフィヨルドを「青い桂林」と呼んだ。

A Chinese compared this landscape to Guilin' s.

フィヨルドを瑠璃の桂林といふ人の故国の空はいまや濁れり

（A Chinise called　 Sognefjord “blue Guilin”, 　but in his homeland, the air has become hazy 　since two thousands.）

こんなにも美しいワインレッドの野原を、エリカ羊はわき目もふらず、まっすぐまっすぐ歩いてゆきます。足元の草だけを見つめて、ひたすらもぐもぐ咀嚼しながら…

In such a beautiful wine-red field, the Erica sheeps walk straightly, while seeing and chewing the weeds near their feet only.

目路はるか葡萄(えび)色の原ひろがれど羊はあゆむ草ばかり見て

(While the wine-red field　spreads as far as the eye can see,　Erica sheeps are looking down only weeds at their feet　and walking geradeaus, immer immer geradeaus.)
