I see your smile in the window surrounded by purifying snow of Norwich

綿帽子をかぶったような水仙より、つつしんでお礼申し上げます。

Our narcissus wearing snowcaps say thank you. On January 12,

our small house also was wrapped with cotton-like snow. 　↑

これは水仙の花をかたどったステンドグラス。
こんな窓のある館で過ごしてみたいですね。

田尻歴史館、大正12年竣工


”綿の館（コットン・ヴィッラ＊snowdrop命名）”へようこそ！
「綿の王」と呼ばれた大阪の実業家、谷口房蔵の別邸です。
↑牛目窓などに、ドイツのユーゲントシュティール様式が見て取れます。

The villa belonged to a rich businessman called Cotton King.
It was built in 1923, under the influence of Jugendstil in Germany.

壁に貼られた西陣織は京都の龍村美術織物のもの。
龍村いうたら、正倉院宝物の復元にも携わる老舗どす。

帯や和装小物、茶道小物が人気どすえ。

The wall is decorated with Nishijin brocade of Tatsumura Art Textiles

which has participated in reproducing those in Shoso-in Treasure.

成人式の薄紅色の着物、長い袖を切って
葡萄（えび）色に染め返してもらいました。
振袖と訪問着、それぞれの端切れを並べました。

いつかsnowdropもこの目で、ほんまもんの鴛鴦が見たいなあ。。。
コットン・ヴィッラの和室でまったりお茶できたら、ええやろなあ。

I hope that I will see real mandarin ducks, and

I will have a tea in this Japanese-style room in Cotton Villa.
